Sadly these waterfalls were submerged in water after the construction of hydro electricity dams.
Owen falls:
This waterfalls lies along the might River Nile near Jinja, 4 kilometers from the point in which the river leaves Lake Victoria. The falls together with the adjacent Ripon falls were sub emerged in 1954 with completion of the Owen falls Dam which was later named Nalubaale. Owen falls station is comprised of a concrete gravity dam with a close coupled intake power house unit. It controls the Lake Victoria outflows through several of ten turbines and six sluices in the dam. With a series of rapids in Uganda, the Owen falls are mostly suitable for any regulated water sport activities like kayaking. Cruising on the bottom of these falls is the most incredible experience of a life time. The Ripon falls is also situated on the Northern end of Lake Victoria along the Nile.
The Bujagali waterfalls:

Although these falls might not be as strong as they used to be previously as result of power generation, the sight at water rapids still holds amazing experiences as they are also called the source of the Nile. The Bujagali falls are situated a few kilometers from Jinja Town and Kampala highway. It is comprised of several tourist activities which includes the white water rafting, kayaking and bungee jumping.
Karuma waterfalls:
These remarkable waterfalls are situated along Kigumba Gulu high way, just south of where the highway crosses the River Nile. The falls extend to almost 97 kilometers by road, north east of Masindi and 77 kilometers by road-South of Gulu, the biggest town in Northern Uganda which is expected to generate over 600 megawatts. Karuma is composed of a consequence of natural good locking rock formations just at the base of the Victoria Nile, which forms remarkable ripple of water with spectacular white foam like appearance. At the bridge, visitors get the best on bird watching, wildlife viewing especially the buffaloes, antelopes, monkeys, baboons, nature walks in and around the banks of the water falls.
