The Daily Monitor: This is is the top newspaper in Uganda and it is based in the capital city. At first, it was called Monitor, then renamed The Daily Moinitor in 2005. It includes one of the most quickly named magazines, an enterntaiment weekly called ‘sqoop’. This enables it to be the only independent newspaper in Uganda.
